halloween topic: if you died tomorrow ...

Since I keep a written log of all the stuff I do, it could be passed along to others.

I need to do a better job of this.

And its not just recording what works, its recording what I've tried that didn't work. That's a huge time saver for the next person.

And like Kinser said, passing on experience is hard to do. Particularly in a notebook.

I don't know, for some reason I've been thinking about this.

Good point. I kept exacting notes, spreadsheets, time comparisons when I started last year, but have not done so for the last six months or so, just going on memory. I have already found times when I wish I remembered what I did on a few cars. I have also thrown out some car bodies that I wish I had now. Its mainly due to lack of time from moving, life changes, etc, but time to start again. Racing all classes now makes it harder also. I don't even remember exactly what I did on my new SS from last race, need to get it back so I can inspect it. /images/boards/smilies/confused.gif /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

When you get my age you don't want to even think about dying, but if any of you are worried, feel secure in leaving any of your secrets with me. I'll be glad to pass them along when I get to that stage in life.

Considering I copied everything from DD4H, LB, 5 kids, B-4, QT, JBD, Kinser, Bullet and a host of others, I think my process will live on. At least most of it...

Its the part that falls outside "most of it" that I'm asking about. We all make tweaks to what is "public knowledge" and/or things we've learned in (semi) confidence from others. At this point in time, if I die my tweaks would die with me. I'm starting to believe I need to do something about that.

If any of you fast guys want to send me your notes, I'd be happy to organize them for you and send them back! /images/boards/smilies/wink.gif

As you get older you learn that you need to leave yourself more notes on stuff and nothing you can leave behind is as important as a good example for your kids !

Hah, and here I saw the post title and imagined the opening for a Gospel tract... /images/boards/smilies/wink.gif

Fast guys, look in the mirror brother!

Shoot Bulldog, I still need another .009 at least! I only ended up in 6th because I think a few guys were coasting now to lull their competition into a false sense of security before the finals.

But I'll still take it! lol

There may be some truth in that Stephen, but you still laid down some awesome times! I was certainly impressed!
