Hardest Build for You...

Someone asked this question a few months ago.... I think I said Eliminator.... I change my answer to Street Stock because it is kicking my A$%!!! I cut 5 sets of SS wheels hoping to send at least 1 car to nationals and I just can't seem to put it all together. I am on my 5th set and I am quitting for the night. Maybe that last set will run better tomorrow. I think JB07 should be the one I am blaming! He set the bar so high I can't even see the SOB'!

I'll have to second the Street Rod. After measuring, re-measuring, and re-re-measuring just for good measure, my wheelbase still wound up off by ~3/32" -- which was enough to let the wheels contact the body.

This bad boy has been waaay harder than expected.

Lately it's been SS, just don't like SP period. I have 2 SR's going to nationals. Might not be fastest but like how they look going down track.

I must agree with SG3!!! My cars are Xtremely competitive in the looks department could possibly rank in the top 10...its just the speed department that I seem to have trouble with, I am barley in the rankings at all hahaha. Either way I am having a ton of fun with this stuff!!!

Mine is defiantly the Street Rod. I’ve never been so mad at a piece of wood before. I got mine finished, but if anyone needs a good laugh at the nationals, just peel back the tape.

Like everyone else, our attempt at street rod was a crash and burn. I've got a limited set of tools and getting the body onto a chassis and then not touching the wheels was a PIA. We needed another day or two, but just ran out of time. Jr and I spent more time painting the body before realizing attaching it was going to be such a nightmare.

Street Rod is the class that caused my wife to slam the garage door after she yelled PSYCHOTIC!!!! Haven't left the bench for three or four days (can't remember exactly how many days because I haven't slept either.) This sport grabs you and puts you in a headlock and then airplane spins you into a back breaker before appling the figure four leglock and that is just about enough to get me fired up. Loving every minute of it!

My hardest build had to be that dang AWANA Car getting that thing not pull the front wheels off the ground was hard. But finally figured it out. I will never build another one.
