Haven't been on this forum in about 6 months. But it's getting to be that time of year again. Just ordered the new 92X Pro Axles and the Dynasty Cheetah Extreme wheels for my son's car. He's so pumped. He can't wait to get started. Last year we made a police car with real working lights. Definitely a cool-looking car. Got lots of compliments. With DD4H products, we made it fast too! Fast enough to take 3rd at Districts. This is his last year before moving into Boy Scouts and he wants to go out with a bang.

He told me this year is all about speed......the need for speed! He wants to be thin-to-win. With the new stuff I just ordered, we might actually take home the Pack AND District trophies!

LET THE GAMES BEGIN!!

If your rules require "four on the floor", buy the pre-drilled block from DD4H. I did thes with two grandson's cars, and without making any change to the steer, the cars ran sub-3, and won at all levels down in Arizona. Unles you are an expert on setting the steer (drift), you will have a better chance with his "4 on the floor" blocks, than with a raised NDW. Then thin the blocks to 3/8 of an inch, and thereafter let the boys paint or add anything on top of the slab that they think is cool. Hope you ordered the axles and wheels "pre-polished". If not, be sure to polish them per his DVD instructios, or search this forum for polishing instructions.

Yep! I sure did order the pre-drilled block too! And, yes, our rules are fairly strict and require 4 on the floor with no canting. We have all the axle and wheel polishing stuff and will be doing that ourselves as per the DVD like we did last year.

The other competitors will not know what hit 'em!

My son will also be competing in his AWANA race too, especially since he is defending champion! Last year he took home the gold out of 49 total entries. The rules for that one were not as strict and we could use extended axle spacing and oil.

I told my wife that I just placed an order with John. She thinks we are nuts. But like I said before, there are worse addictions in life.
lol

Sounds like you and your son have a great time with the pinewood derby racing. I think that is fantastic and that is what this hobby is all about. Sounds like you are set with DD4H products! Best of luck to your son in his race. Let us know how it turns out.
