How do you guys remove casting masks from axles?

I feel the same as was said....all the resources are available online for anyone to build a fast car...people just have to willing to put the time and effort into it.

If you won it all and wonder what to do next year then do what was said and now give back to the pack by offering to help others with tips and ideas or even help drill cars and cut weight pockets or give a short clinic....that's what we did this year and more times than not the kids and their parents were really grateful! Many of them enjoy PWD racing but because of work or other things going on truly don't have the time or skills to do a lot of the things we talk about (short of just spending money.....)

I would not hold back as far as purposely loosing simply because no one should feel bad if they worked with their son to build the car and both did their best like we should be teaching or kids to do all the time....but if ethically you do feel like trying something different then I agree with what you last said....take that relatively awful BSA kit and its parts and see how fast you can make a car by just using that stuff in the box...

im still pretty sure if you use all the tips and ideas here on the forums you will still beat almost everyone (except maybe a car that is using lots of aftermarket stuff with a decent prep and oil)....

In the end, do what you need to do so that one your son has fun and two, once its over you and your son don't have any regrets or bad memories....just good ones....and then forget it until next year!....or even better....race the cars at the upcoming Mid America (lots of kids and adults with fast cars and knowledge race that one....if you win at that there is NO feeling bad whatsoever LOL)...or better still start racing with us at the NPWDRL league and really push your limits!!!!
