ok need some advice, I have a car I ran in a local charitable derby the first part of this Feburary. I won! I am going to run the car in another charitable derby later this month. The car was prepped with DD4Hs Black Ice , Jig and Hater Sauce and was sealed up in a zip lock bag after February's race. Should I re prep it or will it be good to go? If re prep is your suggestion please offer up some advice as to what steps you would take. Thanks

I would reprep the car it's not going to take that long to do it and at least you will know that their is still oil in your bores. Just wash the wheels in a mild car soap and reprep like you did originally

I'm in the "clean your wheels and go" camp for an oil car, especially if you are used to re-prepping.

So JMR and B_Regal you are suggesting I wash the wheels in car wash and continue on to Stage 3 of the Black Ice prep process (basically performing the car wash step as in the video and then continuing from that point forward?). Thanks for the replies the help is greatly appreciated. I trust TRE advice but the wheels on car don't seem to spin as wheel as remember back February.

I'm more in TRE's camp, where you clean the wheel surface with a nail file block (or whatever you prefer) and race it (if the car is running good). I would not remove a wheel unless there is something wrong.
