Hey Guys!!! My daughter has joined the American Heritage Girls, and thier "Powderpuff Derby" is coming up. I am afraid of helpng her build a fast car, she says thats what she wants, to go super fast!! And I can do that here locally just not in the Pros (HAHA). Anyway, I am just asking for advice, I dont want her to lose friends as she is very new and as much as I like pissing off other dads (HAHA) I am unsure about the Moms??? OH what to do? ThanX for any help!!!

Chief, I would send in your best SS. You might end up in the middle of the pack.
lol
seriously I would build it to just win not blow everyone away. I did this for a few years until I got some competition.

Glad to see your virtual mug here again, Chief!

As to your question, offer to lead the build clinic. Share your skills and knowledge. Stay within the rules.

And, of course, guide your daughter, have her do the work, and let it be her car. /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

Just have her do as much of your usual process as she can. Use the 4 hands approach to drilling and any other power tools you may use. Try to explain the reason how each step helps make her car go faster. That way when people ask her how she made her car so fast she will be able tell them.
