Interpretation of rules help.

T-3) thoughts on drilled with new dummy slots? Bending rule or cheating?
Cheating. I'm not a fan of the rule, but dummy slots would be cheating. Using a jig to drill the existing slots seems fine.

T-6) using lighter mold matches machined wheels seems obvious here
Yup, no go

T-9) it doesn’t say anything about oil not being allowed....?
I'm willing to guess they want graphite only, but the rule is poorly worded and in favor of someone wanting to use oil.

Thanks. Definitely don’t wanna cheat so we’re sticking to the slots with bent axles unfortunately.
As for the wheels when you say “no go” what do you mean? The rule says as long as the “some” of the bubble marks on the wheel it’s ok. And it doesn’t say anything about removing the inner part of the wheel to make them lighter. So long as they sit flat. Am I misreading it? And as for the lube rule. It doesn’t rule out oil so..

I wonder if angling the rear slot but still using the original cuts would be allowed...?

This is a poorly worded rule also ...

Wheel treatment (hub and tread smoothing and polishing) may not result in substantial removal of mass or in reducing the wheel width from the original kit wheels.

So, you can remove some material from the wheel, but the question is how much? What is considered "substantial"? It sounds to me like the outside is fair game as long as you leave the tread bumps. Removing material from the underside??????????????

Personally, I would ask for clarification on T9. I would hate to show up and not get to race. You might want to e-mail that question so that you have a determination in writing in case they flip flop on race day?

Drill very carefully into the existing slots slowly (preferably with a jig) so you can end up with a good alignment.
