I have noticed that most of the winning cars are basically shaped like a flat thin door.
I was curious why removing wood to make the car look more like an Indy or F1 car is not better. Or at least not done. It would allow more of the weight to go to the rear.
I have tried the needle shape the last two years and it was always slower than the wedges.
All cars are cut from the same BSA wedge body. The difference is the removal of wood in the venter and front.
This year we are removing much more of the top wood to get lower and thinner. But I was still wondering about the practice of cutting out the sides and making the car pointier.
