I searched and couldn't find a topic on this, but for my son's scout build there is no restriction on wheelbase length. While the rest of the rules seem pretty strict. Is there a "best" wheelbase length. I know to put the rear wheels as far back as I can. 5kids on their scout build suggestions placed the front wheel 5 3/8 ahead of the rear wheel, but I don't know if he chose that based on some other scout rules. I saw a Jewkes engineering video where he put the front wheels right at the front. It looks like in the unlimited class races I have seen on youtube, the wheelbase is extended, but I can't tell by how far. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
