jig a loo

I thought the same thing Chief. But the rep on the phone today said that one is ptfe based while the original is silicon based. For some reason, I thought the orange was Teflon based as well. Anyway, he said he is getting a lot of calls from derby guys who swear by the Orange!

Thanks for the jig contact info Chief. I just sent an e-mail.

I like the quote on the chalk board. Good stuf!

Has anyone else burned up some wheels with the red can?

UPDATE...
I just wanted to pass along that as soon as I got the "Red" stuff, I sprayed it like the normal Jig ("Orange") stuff onto an untouched BSA axle and let the axle dry for about an hour or so then inserted it into an untouched BSA wheel. I have been looking at it every day and inspecting it and it spins really good and the inside of the wheel bore is just fine. I have not however, used it on a good polished up axle or wheel...still in R&D...to be continued...

Ace doesn't have it on their consumer website anymore.. but I walked in yesterday and ordered from the counter.. they will ship to your local store for free $6.99 a can. I was told their US warehouse still has 700 cans.
ok

By the Chief, If you don't mind how much did that case cost you ...Just curious.

JIG1601 - JIG A LOO

Materials that will go up in price- Tungsten for sure, Stainless Steel, GOOD plastic wheels, Sugar pine might be OK, all waxes and sprays.

Just wondering what classes you don't use it in? I thought it was used in all the classes at npwdrl except bearings.

Just a little FYI, a can of this will last about two seasons of racing the three classes that require it. I don't know if you guys are planning on racing for that long.

Going to try Jig for the first time...can it be run on the axles without also using a polish on the wheel bores?

I do the normal q-tip + Novus 2 on the wheels...but don't want to mess with the polish/wax step quite yet. If the wax layer is there to protect the bores from the Jig, then I'll skip the Jig and use straight oil like I always have.

From what I have read here in the forums and believe to understand, is that the polish/wax is dual purpose, it provides a protective coating and a slick surface for the Jig-a-loo to ride upon. Correct me if I am wrong.

You don't need the polish. It is faster with but you don't need it. The most important thing with he jig is to let it dry on the axles before you put it in the wheel bore.

I just got in contact with the jig-a-loo rep and I got 2 cans of the orange and 2 of the red PFTE. I'm going to do some testing with the flashing method we talked about. Using some pipe cleaner to enter into the hub. I hope I don't melt the tires, that would so suck.

Use old spare junk wheels to do your testing on, ya don't need to use your good wheels to test new product Sondo007........SPIRIT........
idea

Thank you Spirit. I plan to use some Chinese junk wheels
rofl
Wait all the Chinese wheels are junk. Sorry I couldn't resist
