Learning to Crash

Jacked the wife's Dremal vise To hold the car while I put some paint down....sssshhhhh, lol,,,,
I recently used one of the hangers from the stores that has the clips on 'em (for holding pants, shorts, etc.). Just clip onto the axle beam, and you've got a holder that lets you move the car around while painting. Also lets you hang it from something to let the paint dry.

Life hack: Cut those clips off hangers and use them to close chip bags or anything else needing to be clipped shut. They are awesome for that!

Problem is that the wife gets upset when she doesn't have any closet space left! :p

Actually it is a good idea!

I'm so confused at how you did that but it looks sick!
I am still trying to figure out how to post in this form because I cannot post pictures in order as in a storyline. but painting it is rather simple, Take a stencil and airbrush over the stencil using white paint, and put trans parent or fluorescent paint in the paint gun. put that over the whole body and that will make the white design you just put down very bright with White as your base keep doing that for as many layers as you want and then clearcoat or lacquer over the whole for a bright shine. Here's a motor cycle helmet I did for a friend who is a firefighter.

Well it's been a minute since last post. I've had to pull the engine apart on my truck so not only does it have my time but also my garage space. But I do have some cut balsa fenders and pine body ready when the truck is done.

Back in action again.....March is right around the corner and so in the Royal Ranger Race. Picking up where I left off...This is 7.5", 5.5 wheel base, frame is 1/4 and 5.5oz (Rangers run 7.5 overall and 5.5oz weight).

First off, I have never used washer before. But I found that we sell these Nylon washers to a customer. I grabber a couple and checking the mesuremens, will this be too thick to use for washer?

Some more pictures of the washers. They are 3.5 mm+\-.1 and the axle is 2.2 mm+\-.1.... you experts out there see any concerns? Also do I cut back the body so they sit flush or put them on as it?
Edit: no, I’m not going to use those wheels it’s just for mocking things up..

The washers I use I make myself out of Teflon rod and I drill the hole so they fit tight on the axles. This eliminates the need to glue them to the side of the body. You don't want the washer spinning when the wheel makes contact. With what you have posted I would glue them on as is. When you go cutting into the side of the car you are taking a chance of messing up the axle holes and alignment. Hope this helps.
