Here a BASX I call this one "Bullet Proof" it's running pretty good here hope it holds till the race.

What's with the NDFW being located so far back? Thought the axle holes had to be drilled across from each other? Or is it the camera angle?

Couple from the bench of 561, I think you can figure out the SS's name.
Lemme guess, Peppermint? Better yet, Candy Stripes. Hold on... one more, Candy Cane.

You are correct on one of your guesses. I also thought about The Candyman.

I think it's an optical illusion.

The rears look lined up but the fronts don't? I'll go read the rules otherwise I'm drilling the NDFW just in front of the rear wheel.

It looks offset because the NDFW is turned smaller than the DFW.

Rules for BASX say the wheels have to be directly across from one another, no more than a ten degree angle. So on your next car, drill the hole for the DFW, lay a protractor on the body and draw a line across the body at ten degrees angled towards the rear of the car and drill your NDFW hole there. That would meet the rules, right? It doesn't specify vertical, horizontal or lateral plane for the ten degree angle.

The NON DOM wheel is across just drilled up higher. I guess that is were the offset from the angle comes in. The foam is also not cut the same on the front so that can give it a different look also.

561- Brian those look awesome! Great job man. I have a set of the new fenders also they look awesome I can't wait to see how the car performs for you.

Joel, is that NDFW OK to run in BASX? It might be just the camera angle but it looks like there's no tread bumps?
Zooming in on the picture allows you to see the tread bumps, small, but still there.

I can zoom on my tablet pretty well and I'm not sure I agree with you just yet Paul. But I'd like to reserve the right to be wrong at this time! Lol

The bumps are there just barely but there.

I was going to drill my ndfw 10 degrees back a few months ago to try and gain an advantage but when I read the SS rules Vers the BASX I saw it's 10 degrees for BASX and 45 degrees for SS. This is reffering to the angle of the wheel to the body, I was told by a guy who has been racing a very long time (Kinser), the wheels need to be across from each other and only tilted 10 degrees in BASX and 45 degrees in SS.

A new SS and SP car. Just need to install the wheels and axles and set the steer.

Nice cars Mr. B!

I'll have to say though, when I first "spotted" the cars, for some strange reason, the Austin Powers movies came to mind.

I had the best test and tune night I have ever had. usually there is always that car that puts a wrench in the good times and happy vibes but tonight it all clicked. I raced my current first string cars and I was very happy with the results. I will be sending in 6 cars this race, 2 BASX, 2 SS, 1 SP, and 1 SR. I'll box em up tomorrow! Today was a good day, didn't even have use my A-K!

I need to say thank you to John for providing amazing parts. The level of detail in these parts is ridiculous. The amount of work that goes into these parts is very evident. Thanks John for all you do. I'm able to test my building practices with out worry in variables of the parts i'm working with. I know that if i do my part Johns products will kick some serious butt! Thanks man, and I'm warning ya all to watch out cuz these puppy's be bringing the heat!
