Of course Joel would get the last word, but the NPWDRL rules state "NO CONVERTIBLES". Speed Racer's Mach 5 was a convertible. It had a glass bubble top that could close.
I know that some of the Vettes are convertibles. As long as the roof is attached, it's legal.
I can't make out if the DD's Mach Beta has it's roof on, but the kit does apparently come with the "bubble".

I just went and looked at the pics from the last race on the NPWDRL site. Looks like Mojo and Team APR are running convertible bodies with the top up. I guess "no convertibles" doesn't really mean "no convertibles" then. Sometimes I am just waaaaay too literal! lol
Didn't the rules for the league used to state "convertibles must have top up"?

I've been looking for a Mach 5 kit with glass like this since the beginning but could never find one to proper scale.
Johns looks 3D printed. If we can 3D print car bodies it is definitely on!
