Mid America Pinewood Derby 2014

Greg:

Yes how many left I might just send one in for myself.... I may end up showing up live... The kids and I want a road trip and MOFAST is heading that way and I think it would be cool to hook up with him and his family for the day ...

There are 2 more spots until we hit the 100 mark and those will all be entered into the Drawing for the Best Track... so all of you that have asked as long as you have completed your registration you are in... there are 25 in progress registrations... that have not completed their registration.

I think I know how Andy feels. We hope this year's MidAmerica is better than ever and a good time is had by all, but when it comes to PWD, most of the racers on this site are primarily focused on adult league racing and the NPWDRL.

I just get excited - as things get close - because of all the work that goes into things... we started working this year in November and have lots of new and exciting upgrades and we will have some very serious talented racers racing in the pro division. I know you guys are focused in on kicking butt here... and it is awesome that many of you come and participate in our event - in general it is a win win.

I apologize in my over eager enthusiasm about the MAPWD... it is truly an opportunity that brings in racers to your league - a neutral place to come race against those here and in other leagues as well... along with those that maybe have not made the jump to league racing as you all have.

It doesn't get more neutral than the NPWDRL. Top track that is not available to test on. Everyone is on a level playing field as you can see by the results. We have already competed against the guys in the other clubs. The competition here is unmatched and unrivaled in the history of league racing. I am truly a fan of the racers here and now I get to go head to head against one of the very best in a PINKS race! I am excited and it is fun being the underdog again.

you need to have a class that uses stock wheels ..50.00 for set of wheels is crazy..I wanted to enter car for me and my kids but dont have 150.00 for wheels therefore i will pass this year

Tre - I can assure you that there will be plenty of competition - that does not have $50 wheels... and there are Pro Classes that you can race in.... keep in mind buying those $50 wheels supports john and this league.

Im totally open to have a division our two that uses different wheels but Ickabod I believe I've invited you to every committee meeting we have had It would be awesome to have had your input Just remember that teching wheels is not an easy job and its not very easy to tech a 2.1 wheel as compared to a stock wheel. Does that mean you are not running at districts this year

Understandable with the number of cars that are involved. But this will still eliminate the ability to be competitive without spending the money for the special wheels. No builder can overcome this much of a handicap.

Yes, we are attending districts this year. Our district does not allow lightened wheels. You may have me confused the another Ickabod. Don't take my position out on him the next time you see him. He'll think you've lost it.

Well son of a gun. .. I do indeed have you mixed up with another ickabod... what are the chances. So how does your district tech wheels and how can they determine the difference between a slightly lightened wheel versus a stock wheel. With out trearing apart the car.

I just simply want to have fair enforceable rules and the ability to tech in 500 cars in an efficient manner.

I am totally open to running a heavier wheel division...

Greg

I'm sending a car in that doesnt have the $50 wheels. Everyone on here already has a car. Just because you dont have the lightened wheels doesnt mean you wont win or do well.
