Well I have the first two done. Its been 10 years since I've played with videos so it takes a bit.
If you have never done video this will help you appreciate it a little more. John I feel your pain.

1 hr video takes:
2 hrs setup (slowed down by 25% and add music and cut unwanted dead time)
2 hrs to render
2 hrs to upload
and thats if all went well! lol (it didn't)
Note: Youtube Upload has a glitch, it sucks up all your band width so the wife's phone and internet didn't work. (I had to figure out how to setup my QOS on my router for that so it can upload during the day)

Kids Open Graphite- not by window! /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

I took down the Kids and will repost to night (a little video was missing)

Pro Stock- is washed out due to 75' X 20' wall of windows!
I tried to darken it, but might retry later!

Thanks for sharing.

I don't think the light was too bad. You can usually make out each car. The beginning camera work was a little shaky but it got better after the operator figured out the consistent motion needed to go from start, finish, and results screen. I haven't done any editing before either but you could probably trim the first 3 mins out of the pro stock video. The times between staging could probably cut a good 30-45 seconds between each heat as well too. That would bring the total length down considerably but like I said I haven't ever done it before and don't know if that would be a big pain in the ass to do or not.

Thanks Iceman!! I missed most of the racing Sat. due to a family outing. Video came out good, and I am glad to see my car run! This whole event was awesome, and I would like to give a big hand to everyone involved
clap

Thanks guys, ya I'm missing the finals I'll have to try and get it re-added.

Ya NGYOUNG, removing those parts would make a 2 hr edit a 4-5 hr edit. The staging part, I'm guessing most people would like to see their car staged. I know I kind of like it for mine!

Wow I'm doing good Just made a post concerning MA and I didn't mention Chevy Girl.

Thanks Iceman.

Looking forward to watching them.

I found it somewhat difficult to watch in person live. Multiple cars, multiple tracks etc.....

Wow, MY Camera Work Is Bad.... Sorry To The Pro Guys, I New i Was Sketchy But WOw That's Jus Pain bad

Josh, we just appreciate you stepping up to the plate for that long of a period. I knew it was going to be tuff getting someone to do cameras!! But your racing speed will increase exponentially! /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif Did your son enjoy it?

My Kids played with logos till they went to bed and the next day I caught my son Windexing his Hotwheel track!

Thanks!!

Nice job edit - Looks like John has some completion.

Although......

You could have cut my car out in the opening scene. It was the first one on the track (left hand lane), only to be creamed (2.99 sec) by the other two cars. It had a broken rear axle which I taped 1 hour before it had to be mailed. Maybe that's why it took so long to line up - he was sayin' "what the $%^*%^ is this"?

yes my son had a blast, the legos was the greatest thing i had to almost pull him out to watch his heats.. i asked if he would want to run more classes next year and i got a "oh yeah that would be cool" so thinking we may have a entire fleet for next MA

First, thank you for posting this. I had a hard time watching this on Saturday with the kids.

I have a couple of questions.

How do the times on this track compare to the league track?
I was running on 2 gram cheetah v.3 with 4 wheels mounted and averaged 2.9765. I noticed a lot of the top cars had the 3 wheels and a pin and I’m assuming lighter wheels. Is this even a fair comparison to see where I’m at?
You know I don't think I have those numbers/info!

Note: I believe I have most of the Videos Done, I'll have to try and copy them up to youtube tonight!

I would be curious about the time comparison as well for the pro track races.

Thanks if anyone has any info.

If you are trying to compare the pro track to John's, using the bearing cars as a gauge, they were running about 2.852 average at MA and at John's they were about 2.900 average last month.

If you are looking to compare the scout track to the pro track, there was a guy who ran 2 cars in the corporate event Friday on the scout track and in the Mod division Saturday on the Pro track. The corporate results are not listed yet on the MA site, but from what I remember, he was running right around 2.900 for his faster car and on Saturday, it was 2.904 average

What class was you running.. Street Pro allows you to run 3 wheels and a guide pin. Did you have cars in open scout oil? Or just pro race

I’m not trying to call foul; I know I didn’t take advantage of the rules. I just want to know how it compares. I’m really struggling with oil and I’m trying figure out if I’m gaining any ground. I’m not feeling to great with “zeebzob” showing a 0.05 difference.

I only ran the Pro division and my son’s scout car in the open scout graphite race with the cheetah v.3 also.
