Thanks all! Like I heard on here somewhere earlier, its easy to win a small scout council race. Although we dethroned the multi-year repeat winning family. Don't think taking my son's help out of the equation will make a big enough improvement to run with the big dogs though. /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

But going to give it a try next week if my cubes and lubes show up early this week. Got the wheels prepped, axles prepped, body ready to go and the shipping box, just need those two items. I tried stuffing it full of putty and round pills...but it was U G L Y...aint got no alibi, ugly! lol

Tried to put all I know, and some more stuff I haven't done before, into this one so will be bummed if its a flop. Will be on here looking for direction afterwards probably! Ha!

Thanks again for the support and congrats on my son's race!

I used wood glue to glue in my cubes in stead of my typical 5 min epoxy with the idea that I might pull them out for another car. I agree in keeping the scouts cars (but we do switch out the wheels and retire them with stock wheels) intact but I might recycle mine.

Just hope the block on tungsten does not fall out like an old car losing its engine to rusted out mounts !

We keep the kids scout cars intact for memory sake too. This year I also pulled the axles and wheels and replaced with stock stuff for show on the shelf. I actually have my car with my trophy together at my parents house from when I was a kid. Guess I need to grab that next time I'm there.
