No, not even close. Its actually better and easier.
I have a small piece of wood bigger that a car body,
then I trace the outline of a car body on it, and
where the weight pockets would go.
I then cut out where the weight pockets would go into the
wood, this is where the top bearing flush trim bit will ride.
Then I rip some amall 1/4 thick wood to hold the car body and index
it in the proper place.(I just nail or staple this on to the larger piece of wood.
Now all you have to do is clamp the car body in and route.
It so hard to explain in words,
But this really is a super easy and fast way to do it.
Way better than in that video.
