Trying to get them the best chance at winning districts two years in a row. So far. None of ours have even lost a race.

Looking good Cramjet! If your kids are looking for stiffer competition at the scout level you should consider entering the Mid-America Pinewood derby. There wasn't much competition in my son's pack or district and he was sort of losing interest. He entered Mid-America the last two years and really enjoyed racing against the fastest scout cars in the country. You can watch the whole race online and the event is run very well. It was fun watching my son get excited about a PWD race again!

I have a set of Dynasty Nitro and Dynasty Mid America wheels on the way as well as fenders for our "Alpha Beast". I plan to run them both in the adult league first to test them out. I will run "Bad Kitty" as a BASX and "Alpha Beast" as a street stock. Both should be faster than the ones from last year. Especially the street stock.

So, yes, Mid America is the endgame we had in mind!

The black one with the flames is "Bad Kitty" and the metallic orange one is "Alpha Beast" so far anyway. That should be my fastest one ever.

The spider and eagle cars are my girlfriend's son's cars. One is a Tiger Cub and one is a Wolf. They are for this upcoming year. I am adding some of John's fenders to them.

The boys holding the trophies are the ones I helped last year who made the "Beast Mode" and Green Bay Packer cheese car. Those are the ones which went undefeated through districts.

Nice! Very unique shaping!

Thanks!

Can you see what I am trying to do with the front on all of them with the air in relation to the wheels? I'm sure someone can or will refine or tweak what I am doing but you get the idea. I would imagine it would be useful in BASX where fenders and air jammers are not legal. I also realize how low aerodynamics is on the list yet remains a factor so I might as well.

If it proves effective someone will improve upon it I'm sure. It's more fun to throw ideas out there and leave the refining to others.

Aha, I had wondered if those channels had some kind of purpose!

I couldn't really comment on the effectiveness of airflow manipulation, but it's cool to see people experimenting with it.

Very cool cars! Keep us posted on how they continue to run for ya. Then send them in to the next race and see if you can keep your undefeated record.

I think rather than go undefeated my first time out, I will be getting, to quote Madonna in 1988 "Like Hanky Panky, nothin' like a good spanky!"

But, it will help me figure out where I'm at.

The BASX car was drilled with a cheap tool, so I can't imagine the rear alignment is dead on. The Street Stock is one of John's pre drilled blocks.

Thank you Gravity X.

I spotted at least one of your cars on youtube just a few minutes ago.

I can make them pretty. Now I have to learn how to make them faster. I'm a little hung up on wheel prep. I have all of John's best products and his video but still can't seem to get them to where I think they should be.

Practice I guess?

I feel a little like I did in college. I thought I was a pretty good long sprinter before that but I was on a division I team (Oklahoma) and suddenly I didn't stand out anymore.
