My First Test Vehicle

I thought you guys would get a kick/laugh out of this. I built this when I first started building and I was trying to follow the rules that you had to have all 4 wheels on the car. The front tandom was off the ground.

This is rather a sophisticated design for a newbie build.

I tried to count and I think I'm at about 17 workable cars. Thats not counting another 5-8 that i decided to scrap.

I never seen goaskgrandpa before, lol I had to google it. I like that concept of shocks/springs!

And I've never ran that concept wing car, so many things has changed since then. I had another that had a like a elongated sharks dorsil fin sticking up in the front. (probably 1/8 the weight) Now if I incorperate that into my new build would be interesting!

Yes, Kinser, but that would have been Steve Kinser, any relation? I've seen him race live while I was crew chief of a 358 D.I.R.T. Mod, nearly 20 years ago.

Laserman, the cant on the right front wheel you see on the IMSA car, was there for alignment as the car made its way through the corner. I the idea was a negative camber down the straights but when the car entered the corner the negative camber would transition to a more positive camber as it was making its way through the corner to give the car an edge. The car was brought into a more positive camber alignment when cornering giving the car more bite with that wheel. The 358 class we ran didn't employ this tactic as our car was more tuneable than the IMSA car with other tricks in the chassis. I've forgotten a lot of what I used to know.

INDIANAPOLIS (Dec. 11, 2013) – Steve Kinser, the 20-time World of Outlaws (WoO) STP Sprint Car Series champion, announced today the upcoming 2014 WoO campaign will be his final season chasing the series championship. The Tony Stewart Racing (TSR) driver, who won the series’ first championship during the WoO inaugural season in 1978, is looking to join a long list of greats who have closed their career hoisting championship hardware. His final season with the WoO, called “Salute to the King,” kicks off in February with the DIRTcar Nationals in Florida.

This is amazing.
