I used DD4H's new product today in place of jig-a-loo, although a great speed gain that I was hoping for was not observed I did gain a few thousandths of speed. My street stock car "Excalibur" at the Jan race ran around a 2.978 on average on my track which ran a 2.994x average on the league track. After the use of Blue Thunder my car picked up to a 2.975 on average. So if you have any question on weather or not BT is a good product, I wiil say that it is a good alternative to jig-a-loo, no doubt.

would anyone who has used it say that it is about the same speed as jig but safer? i know jig is out of production and blue thunder seems the natural replacement, i was just wondering if i should just use the blue thunder now or wait till i am out of jig ?

DNA as far as speed comparison from what I have found blue thunder is .002 to .004 faster than jig a loo but is alot more sensitive to the amount of oil used.

Did you have any trouble with it caking up on the axles?

Dip the axle in quick then do a quick shake off. The thicker it is seems to determine the break in time. I would like to get more feedback from you guys that are testing it. Thank you for what you have done so far.

Will try it, last time we tested after a couple of runs noticed some caking on the axles, may have just had too much excess on there, will test some more soon.

The first time we applied it, was Thursday, we had been using the Blue Dupont. It was very thick. I ended up cleaning it off with Alcohol and selvelt cloth and reapplying with a better shake. It evened out better on the axle. It did seem to take a long time to break in, about 15-20 runs on our test track before it started to produce more consistant times.

When I applied the BT I just took the lid off the bottle and used the magnet on the end of my pocket screw driver to hold the axle while I dipped it it into the bottle, so i didn't drop the axle. I pulled the axle off the magnet and shook it pretty hard for 8 to 10 times. I put the axles in the axle holder and let them dry while I preped my wheel bores. After 15 min I buffed my wheel bores, slid the axle in half way of the wheel bore and put 1 drop on each side of the axle groove, slid the axle in the rest of the way and gave them a spin and wahla they are done.

Is the Blue Thunder Axle Treatment still sold at DD4H, or has it been replaced or discontinued?
