NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIPS TAKING SHAPE! NEED USER INPUT

"...winners RACERS will always win. That's what they do. They optimize everything, no holds barred and make no excuses."

Racers are always on the cutting edge of speed and push the envelope every chance they get. Don't like it, build two cars, one with each style wheel, see how they do. One will beat the other. Take that slower car and tune it up to beat the other car. Keep doing this until insanity sets in and then try something new. That's racing gentlemen!

One race. One winner. Every time. Guaranteed!

Is somebody a "whiner" just because they prefer not to see old-style wheels permitted in SS? Have your reasons for whatever stance you support, sure, but let's not name-call folks who think otherwise, or start questioning their "mentality." If winners win, regardless of rules, then they'll win without the Pre-2009 wheels, too, no?

I won't get into a debate with less you drag me down to your level. You all want secrets, no? When somebody tells one or shares it and it's then made available to everyone but they want to call it cheating or not fair or whatever, call it whatever pc crap you want, it's whining. It is the cub scout mentality not a professional racers mentality. Coat it with whatever candy crap pc you want, it is what it is!

So...it's either "you agree with we should allow pre-2009 wheels in SS, and you're a winner and a serious professional racer" or "you don't think pre-2009 wheels should be allowed in SS, and you're a whiner and have cub scout mentality"?

Those are the only two options?

Why not just say "Your position about the wheels is incorrect and here's why <insert objective argument>," and just leave it at that?

Okay VK, here's why: Pre 2009 wheels fall within the rules if they're 2.0 grams and 7.5 mm. Does it get any simpler than that? We've gone through this enough. Max V wheels are legal, pinecar wheels are legal, bsa wheels are legal. That's pretty straight forward.

Like 5kids said earlier, do we need to ban jig? How about banning canted axles? Why not make it four on the floor? I know! Lets make it so you have to use the axle slots! Where does it end? This is not cubbies.

Which way draws the most racers, not just from the NPWDRL, but from all leagues? I'm in favor of that.

Are these wheels truly preventing racers from participating?

Right on, BRR!

If they are banned, it might prevent me from participating in this class.

I'm not sure why everyone is so scared of these wheels. I don't know anything about those Max V wheels someone said were faster than BSA, but if you have them, race them, I don't care. If they win, I will look into them at that point. /images/boards/smilies/wink.gif

Seems like a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. I didn't think banning the predators was on the table, just running them in their own class. All I see is drama in this thread. I hope to just get some cars registered and sent in.
