After all we are Scouts, Scout leaders or Scout Parents??? The First Mid AM Klass Jamboree...

Wife found a deal at the Ramada for 4 and tickets to the zoo for $169.00.. We were looking at that then 2 days ago the plans changed some so we might be up at Butt Crack of dawn and make the drive up again that morning... But the wife did say we (the boys and I) will be going for sure....

That is COOL BD.. Your going to have FUN... I spent time watching the boys cars race and some time talking to some of the racers, This year I want to do more chit chat as we seem to have more League Racers going...

Wonder who the Trophy Girl is this year and how many kids we can talk into the Hug & Kiss thing this year.. Last year there was some serious cash offered to one of the boys and he still turned it down... Heck he could have been famous it was on video and he could have been king at school with a cool $50 bill in his pocket... LOL

We are running the open scout class along with 1 or 2 classes with NPWDRL.
Do we ship all the cars to the Mid America address or to John ??
Or do we need to split the shipment ??

If I'm not mistaken, John gets all league cars and Greg gets all for the scout side.

This is what it shows on the league site: http://pinewoodderbychampionships.com/registration-3/

And this is the proxy entry info page from Mid America's site: http://www.mid-americaderby.com/proxy-entry-info

Same address.

Mail all proxy cars to:
Mid America Pinewood Derby
Attn: Greg Dawes
4924 North 103rd Street
Omaha, NE 68134

Might want to scroll to the bottom of this page also: http://www.mid-americaderby.com/rules/pro-division-rules/pro-division-information

Looks like there will be a static display of Pro cars when they're not racing?

It is quickly approaching only 44 more days before this years Mid America Pinewood Derby and the National Championships - Here is a great video of some of the highlights from last year.

It depends if the dremel contest will fly us there. The winner gets a 3 night 2 day all expense paid trip to a "motor race experience" We have not heard if they will let us go to Omaha and race our car as our winning the contest. I sure hope so. We asked and their response was to enter this contest. They have been way cool to us. We asked for a sponsorship to the nationals as we could not afford to go and they told us about their design contest. They asked me for my address and sent my son a Dremel kit. Really cool company.

From what I gathered you will want to send cars in a box with some extra space in case you get a trophy and or any other swag. For the return shipping label add some additional weight as well. USPS' weight pricing chart is pretty narrow, every few ounces is a couple more cents. However, they also don't weigh a lot of the packages and even if they do they usually still ship them and hold at the local post office and inform the recipient that they need additional money before releasing it.
