Those turned out real nice, good work. Love the Gee Fenders, I bought some for my son’s district car “1[sup]st[/sup] place again by the way” and I was impressed how easy they are to work with. We literally won by .012 seconds, as you can imagine it was intense. I gave the credit to the fenders.

Thanks DerikX for the information. That's my first set of them to. Test and tune is Sunday after church. Hope that is my best car. Love those fenders!!

Nice fleet!

Love the aluminum theme!

Hey Rocket,

I think you started something here.

Hey WK,

When is the "Hawaiian Punch" car coming out?

Me too! That's a great idea. Looking forward to your next creative cover.

Just ran the fleet of cars. The Gee fender sprite car was my fastest. 3.009. Second fastest car was the amp car 3.013. These where all graphite cars. Just can not get that sub 3 mark. This is with a 42ft freedom track. Does a best track run better times or I have a long ways to go? Going to play with the oil next week. Should b very interesting to say the least.

SB, even comparing two 42' Besttracks is difficult. Differences in track setup, timer, start switch adjustment, etc. make a huge difference in times. For example, my son's graphite car ran 2.961 on the district's 42' Besttrack but my Street Stock car can only manage 2.98's on the league's 42' track. When I compare his car and my car on our 32' track at home, my SS car is right at .070 sec. quicker. I would have said his car would run about a 3.08 on the league track.

BR,

Sometimes I think you not only have an encyclopedia up there, but also a slide rule.

Completely different.

Thanks guys. Have to order some tires from dd4h. Might try the powder puff race on the 22nd. Just to see what happens. I can not break sub 3 here. Maybe its the track. I doubt it but who knows. Might need bracketracer slide rule to figure this one out.

So I got to ask what kind of adhesive are you guys using. I figured a light tack spray on adhesive might work and be removable but thought I'd ask.
Thanks

As DD4H stated its a different set up. Track design, Gates and Timers will warrant different results across the board. I have seen a variation of .020 with the same car on a 42' best tracks with three different brand timers and gate setups.

That's a great idea! Neverglueagain. I have been using CA glue. RC model glue (gap filling kind). But I can not remove it to get to the weights. Might try your idea. That's what I like about this place so many different ideas.

Reso. ordered some tires from john. Not but one way to find out. POWDER PUFF race! Reprepped some tire last night for graphite. Left computer on and followed step by step when I was working on them to make sure I had it right. Compressed air seams to help keep it clean while working. Like I said just another idea from this site.

Hey glad to help LOL. I've seen that spray adhesive used for air brush folks that use it to apply stencils that will be removed after painting. I don't know if it is strong enough to hold a can in place though. There are different types some are repositional and some more tacky but I don't have experience with either. I've been eyeing different brands to try on say like a candy bar wrapper or something else to put on top of a car. The search never ends with these cars :-)
