Special shout out to TRE for all the direction and help. Today my son raced his big body car on a 40 ft anodized aluminum track ,The track owner said that company was no longer making tracks, but they built the fastest track ever. Wit 40 feet of actual racing he ran a 2.864. or 238 mph or average on 6 races 2.8932 ... 235.66

Race that in Box Stock class (or BASX, depending on your build parts) in the NPWDRL and enter it as a "showstopper." Has a really good chance of winning....seriously. Nice looking car.

What are the requirements for Box Stock..?

Essentially untouched wheels (you are allowed to prep bores, that's it) and BSA axles (the ones with the burrs and flashing...you are allowed to clean and polish and groove them, but you have to start with the crappy BSA ones).

Awesome looking car, looks like you had a lot of cars at your event, congrats!
Thank you... we probably had 25 racers.... We normally have about 35-40... but being Easter weekend and the begining od spring break , we were light several members. ... I am juts hoping to get to a level like where these guys are running.

With districcts two weeks away here is the challenge. The body has been hollowed out, BUT I am thinking I should possibly drill the wind shield out use reflective tape to cover the holes ... then add the additional weight to the back of the car.... I can only imagine it would give me the ability to add shift a few grams to the back. Thoughts?
