NPWDRL SCHEDULE!

Thank you for clearing that up. I have hours in my SS car, one day I will have the tools to start from scratch. I will be racing with you pros now because I earned my badge at nationals, but beleive me when I say I don't consider myself pro quite yet but I will get there. Look forward to racing with you all in August, hopefully I will have my first SP done for that race. (Time to go shopping at DD4H)

I am one of the guys who still gets pre-drilled bodies from John. I do not have the tools. As everyone can see, in my 4 years racing I have yet to win a race. So, as it has been said that things can still be goofed up, I am the prime example. Nobody has ever built a car for me or even tuned one for that matter. I do what I can do. What is the fun of not building your own. Realistically I should be in the AM since my times are more likely to be there. However, I worked my way up at one time to race the pro and even the elite for a short time. I will stay in the Pro's and take my victories or lumps wherever they land knowing I built the cars I submit.

I agree, you've got to have some skin in the game. Makes those victories, even if it's just a heat win, that much better.

I totally agree to be in the am class the car should be built by an am not a pro!!

John, good luck in your move hope that everything goes well.

I hope that is the case with a lot of the guys up north that usually come live. I know John has been going back and forth for a few months on this decision. Never a easy one to make but when you put the family first things will fall in place. That being said I'm super excited for the new location I know it will continue to offer us racers the best place and venue to race at!!!!! So who will be the Man of the Mountain?!?!??!

You have options! Skippy has a track and Egghead and Radioactive now have a track. I am sure they can help you out.

Or go to jewelry store to buy her a gift then she may not notice track running down middle of living room ;-)

Jewelry, Dinner, Day at the spa, food, massage, time alone with no kids, whatever it takes. I have tried many, many times to get a test track still nothing
pout
So, I'm going to have to stop racing for a few months to save up money to buy a track. Either that or knock over a few convenience stores in the area. Stupid
surrender
wah

@Newkidontheblock, what I read was that you may wear the pants in the family, but she tells which ones to wear.
lol

It's all in fun....

For purposes of clarification, I know I missed something along the way. I've read myself into oblivion.

I understand the 8 unique builders to qualify. It was used at Nationals on a per class basis.

BUT! Is there a points leader in every class SS Am, SS Pro, SP, etc... Let's say I ran 2 classes and someone else ran all (5) classes. Are there chances better than mine based on what I think I'm reading or is it as I'm suggesting, per class? If it is per class, is there a championship round for each class? And if so, then how is the overall title of MOTM determined?

I maybe just too tired to think straight right now. I've read this way too may times! Help!

The way the Man of the Mountain is set up everyone can race in the Championship race. The better you finish in the qualifiers, the less races you have to win and the better chance you have to win the title.

It is broken down this way.

The top 7 points leaders automatically are qualified for the championship round of 8 total builders.

Championship round:
1. Racer1
2.Racer2
3.Racer3
4.Racer4
5.Racer5
6.Racer6
7.Racer7
8. OPEN SPOT

The next 7 points leaders are automatically qualified for the Semi Final round.

Semi Final Round:
1. Racer8
2.Racer9
3.Racer10
4.Racer11
5.Racer12
6.Racer13
7.Racer14
8. OPEN SPOT

All other racers will go into a qualifier round that will race for the open 8th spot in the Semi Final Round. The winner of the Semi Final takes the OPEN SPOT in the Championship round.

STREET ROD will skip the Semi Final Round. STREET ROD will NOT count towards the overall Champion.

Each car entered through the tournament will give you another chance to win a 2 lane 42' Best Track with a Champ timer that will be drawn for at the Championship race.

Whatever Street Stock class you start in is what you will race for the entire tournament. You will be moved to the pro classification if you are using a pre built car from the vendors. We do not want people buying cars and racing them in the Am class. If you have been put in the Pro status because of this and want to move back I will allow that but please build your own cars if you are racing Am. Also if you have been league racing for years and can run the times that will qualify you as a pro but have not raced at NPWDRL then please do not enter the Am class.

8 qualifiers per class. The overall man of the mountain will be determined by who has the lowest overall avg time in all 5 classes. The same way it was done at Nationals. Each class will have it own man of the mountain winner.

Thanks for the response, I'll get some rest now! /images/boards/smilies/sleep.gif

I just wanted to confirm this, since somehow I won the SS-am tonight will I stay in SS-am until this tourney concludes and then go to SS-pro in the next race? I thought I heard you say on the audio feed that I was going to the pros.

Also, will there be a page listing the points earned in each qualifier and are the points earned by the car or the builder? Sorry, I'm new here!
