There but for some good fortune that might have been my build. Last year with twin Lion scouts I was thrust into PWD. Armed with DW tools and a book on making a fast car from my scout shop, and a series of youtube videos on making an I-beam car we muddled through pack and district with 1st and 2nd place. Then we discovered PWDRacing and coming in 6 hundredths behind Lightening boy, Microbrush and others I realized we had a lot to learn. Thanks to folks at PWDR and forums such as this one this year the boys were 1st and 2nd for Tigers in den, pack, district, council and oil at MidAmerica, with 1st and 5th in MidAmerica graphite. +1 to HurriCrane’s assessment regarding the learning curve in this sport. It takes some effort and error to sift the good information from the bad and then even more work to master the good.
