I am looking for input on something I have been working on for the Cubs. Please take a look at the outer hub prep in the pictures below. This was a quick job by normal standards, but something I am thinking my "involved" Cubs may want to attempt. Nothing else has been done to this wheel. I am specifically looking for feedback on the outer hub area. This would be used in conjunction with a BSA axle that has a slight backcut/taper on the underside of the head.

ALL ideas and thoughts welcome!! PLEASE ........tell me what is good, bad, ugly, decent, needs improvement, or is Ok about this outer hub!

Its hard to tell from the pictures, but it appears to be a nice job. For reference, my hubs shine like my bores when I'm done. You just really have to be careful not to deform them (the outer hub in particular).

How would you deform the outer hub?

Here is another picture. This is a different wheel. The only work is the outer hub area. Maybe this picture will help you see better? It blows up decent.

The hubs look great! Like BR said you can deform the plastic if you spend too much time, too much pressure or too high a speed that it starts to melt the hub. I would definitely do something with the under side of those bsa axles or all your hard work on the hubs will be wasted. File off the flashing & polish best as you can

Thanks for the feedback! Yes I will have the Cubs works the axles also. I was just concentrating on the outer hub portion of the wheel prep at this time. I am just working on a system that I can have my Cubs follow. I want them to be able to perform the work along with understanding the WHY they are doing this step.
