A member of our league, Mike Ward AKA, Twisted Iron, Pm'd me this afternoon and said his son Tyler has had a relapse. This young man, 10 years old, has been through hell this past year and a half. He had to have a bone morrow transplant and was in the hospital many months. His Mom, Wendy was by his side almost day and night while Mike cared for their other two children plus giving Wendy a little time off from the care of Tyler. This family is one of the strongest and most devoted I've ever had the pleasure of being associated with. Tyler couldn't wait til he and his Dad could get back into Pinewood Derby racing again. Now it's back to the hospital for more test and evaluations. I know Mike and Wendy would appreciate all you guys & gals prayers for their young son.

I've never talked to Mike, but I am very sadden by this news. Nothing pains me like seeing a child in pain or need. Thoughts and prayers coming his way.

Prayers coming there way. Hurts the most when its a child even if its not your own. Would they be willing to accept an entry from either myself or someone better than me on here to have a car race for him at MA? Let me know. I'm not the best builder that could do him justice, but I'm sure someone on here is and would be willing to make a car for him.

Heavenly father, I ask you to show this family , healing , mercy and compassion. I raise this farther up that he might lean upon your strength so that you can carry him. I ask that you give this mother rest that she might continue to be there for her son. I ask that you show this boy your heart that he might grow to know you and place his trust in you. Lord bring knowledge and wisdom to his medical staff that they may treat him and help bring a cure and relief to this family. Finally Lord I ask that you it be your will for a peace and love like this family has never seen fill their hearts. It is through you that all thing are possible and through your sons holy name I ask of this, In Jesus name Amen!
