Red Rocket Question

I'm learning how to prep and re-prep. I am letting the Red Rocket dry 24 hours, buffing, letting it dry another 24 hours then buffing again with a fluffy pipe cleaner. Question is how much red rocket should I be leaving on the inside and outside hub? I'm able to get it off with a micro fiber towel but it's hard to get in the outside edges of the hub. Do you guys blow most of it out before it drys?

These pics is are after drying for 24 but before buffing

These pics are after buffing with a fluffy, what is the best tool to buff the R.R? I chuck it up and buff for about 30 sec. I did not blow off the residue, I'll blow them off before I install. I have read that some guys will spray a fluffy with jig let it dry for 15 min then burnish in the hub. Interested to know if this is common and results, should I do axles and hubs with jig or can I over do the jig? I sprayed my axles when I first applied the R.R, so the axles would be dried 48 hrs before installing, is this too long?

Thanks in advance for any help.

Apply the RR and let it dry for no more than about 15 minute, then buff it out and let it cure whatever amount of time you desire. There's no wrong way to do it really. It's about finding what works for you. I find the longer I wait to buff it out the harder it is.

I had hard time getting a thin coat on the whole bore without leaving thick spots that dont dry in 15mins or seemed like the applicator wiped it dry. I eventually started to take the stick part of the applicator and gently dab it around. That seemed to work to get a light coat even after blowing off the RR that gathers on the outside of the bore.

It's a type of wax or polish. I've never seen any type that, if you left it on paint for a long time, wasn't a LOT harder to get off.

Definitely don't leave it on there that long. It only needs long enough to dry. 15 minutes or so at most.
