return shipping label details

I'm boxing up my cars and I'm using the shipping label creation at usps.com and was wondering about my return shipping label for Nationals.

I created one label for the box I'm sending to Mukwonago and entered a ship date of tomorrow. No problem, I plan on shipping tomorrow.

I then created a label FROM Andrew Anderson to Me (for return shipping), but it asked for a ship date. The latest ship date I could enter was Thursday. I created the label anyway.

Did I screw up and is there a better way to create a return shipping label for something that is shipping farther out into the future? Or, does the USPS not really look at that?

sorry for the newbie questions, but others are likely to run into the same thing.

I have had no problems using this method just choose the farthest out date you can and you should be fine. Good luck with your cars they look great!

I have never had any problems shipping just like what you did. You will be fine.

Well, I got caught up in this as well and tried to do a return label online but saw the date limitation. Reluctantly made the drive to the post office cause online agent said I had to do return label for later date at PO. Get there and they're like nope, you can only do online and yup, only 3 days out and it could be treated as a stale label and not ship (would be my luck).

No wonder PO is losing money with this kind of thinking...where I can't prepay return label that may be used beyond the next 3 days.

Like others said above, I have never had any problems and I have shipped with a outdated return label all over the country.

Thanks for the reassurance. I had went ahead and printed return label anyhow and just sent them off.

I always pick the 3 days out date for the return label and have never had an issue.
