Reversed Wheel Spacer Question

I'm using the spacers John sells to for running reversed wheels. One side of the spacer is thicker than the other which is cut down. Which side should face the wheel hub?

Have a question what's the thinking on reversed run wheels. Not trying to be smart $$s, just cant wrap my mind around this one.

The SP wheel, the Intimid8r, is a very light wheel and very thin. If ran in the normal fashion the wheel would flex too much and possibly break as it heads down the track. This is why they are run in reverse and this is why the spacer is needed, there is no hub to space the wheel away from the body. The reverse mounting allows it to run on the "spokes" so to speak.

Ok what about running the pure stock wheels in reverse. Have seen pictures of cars with that setup. Both rear wheels reverse run or one front wheel run reverse.

I haven't seen any Street Stocks with the rear wheels run in reverse, the class here at the NPWDRL that runs the wheel in reverse is the Street Pro. As far as the NDFW in reverse, just about everyone does it in the SS class. It's run in reverse to provide a smoother surface when and if that wheel makes contact with the track center rail. The wheel is typically "locked" and does not turn to prevent any vibration. The cars that run this are typically a 3 wheel touching with the NDFW lifted off the track surface.

There has been one that I know of/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

Did you happen to be the owner of that one Scott, because it wouldn't really surprise me. You build real fast cars and try many different things looking for that edge over the competition.
