I would like to make a jig to cut out weight pockets with a router. If you have pictures or examples on how to make up the a jig/table that would be great.

Not really sure I would go this route, looks dangerous for the not-so-experienced woodworker.

THAT just looks like an accident waiting to happen!/images/boards/smilies/eek.gif

I do mine in a similar fashion except the block is held down in a recess and you move the router between the jig stops....much safer! IMO

Here is my version of the above system. Basically built a table to set my jig inside of, I have one for the dremel and router:

I use a router table. I built a box that you clamp to the fence. The I built another box that holds the block of wood tight. It has a handle above the box so you can push the block of wood around inside the first box. The first box is of course wider and longer than the second box. It is completely safe. My grandchildren can and do use it. If you have to route very thin block of wood then I place a metal bar over block of to give insurance and safety if you route clear through the piece.

I have nothing like this, I have that dremel stand and i mount my dremel on it. I then check my depth and set the lock on the handle and then I with one hand hold the handle down into the wodo while with a couple of fingers on that same hand and my other hand move the wood around. All of this with a router bit installed. I know this is not the best way but it is all i can do for now. I want to build a jig and do it like that so i could be more consistant and als spend less time.

Here are mine...

The CNC router makes life a little easier when making fenders or weight pockets.
However, the old way works fine too.

This is blowing my mind,so what CNC routers are you guys using?
I saw one brand...Click-n-Carve for $999,I assume that would work for PWD.
