With all 4 wheels having to touch I guess a rail rider is off the table and my car should be tuned to run straight correct?

And should I still go for an aggressive Com like a 1/2 inch or less aggressive to minimize potential wobbling down the track?

Never drilled weight pockets before... thoughts on a dome?

For a scout car, you could use the cylindrical 3/8'' diameter tungsten weights. The weight holes are easy to drill - simpler process than cutting weight pockets, particularly if you don't own a router.

And you can build a 4 wheel touching rail rider - one of the front wheels will be dominate.

Haven't had to build 4 wheel touching but my picture is a tale of two designs. Gold Rush on the left is a domed racer with cylinder weights that are moveable. It is a sub 3 racer. Orange Crush on the right is a weight pocket wedge design about 5/8" thick and can carry 12 cubes behind the rear axles. It thumped Gold Rush. Both were fun to build, but I would recommend learning how to cut pockets for in my opinion a faster ride. I'll help boys build 5 cars this season and I will encourage them to go wedge-cube. Ultimately it is their call, but they know how Orange Crsh ran last season.
