If you are going to use the original windshield I just run a bead of that blue around inside where you lay the windshield and once you drop it and place it stays glued in nicely. If you are going to make your own windows out of lighter material just use the windshield as a pattern to trace out a new designKTMracer said:Do you guys have any tips for installing the windows? I haven't completed a model since middle school, but I remember my windows always looked like crap. Glue, paint, knife marks. I could never keep them nice.
I'm not going to try to be a stickler here but some of you guys are skirting this rule.
Original windshields, roofs, doors, fenders, grills, hoods, trunks and main body parts must be used (No chopping up, stretching, piecing together or hacking the body). No drilling out or cutting holes in the back of the car. Tail lights need to be attached.
I'll concern myself with it when you start smokin' me. Until then, roll easy! /images/boards/smilies/biggrin.gif
All of the windshields that I've installed have been the ones that come with the kits as well as the roofs, doors, fenders, grills, hoods, trunks and main body parts. The only holes in the backside of a body that I've seen are the ones on the Monza by Prudhomme and the body comes that way originally so I've not modified anything on that body and the only taillights on that body are the decals.
If what you are talking about is the windshield then what if a guy gets a kit or a partial kit that has no windshield to begin with?
With that last performance that you laid down in SR I think that you've got nothing to worry about Kinser. Especially since you sold the car which is a harbinger of doom for everyone else as that means you've found a way to replicate your success in SR. The bell tolls for the rest of us...
