I have never tried it but I've heard of wasted wheels from doing it with jig. They must not have waited long enough.

Sorry, I know it's an old thread, I have way to much time on my hands and I'm reading old post. Just made me curious.

I've tried it. I did not ruin any wheels, but it was not the speed tip that was going to put me over the top. It was a bit slower for me, but I'm still a bit new to building.
