Dang! I usually pop a brew after my heart gets racing from a scare too.

As you probably know from using a router:

It is not advisable to try to remove more material on one pass then a little less then half the diameter of the bit.

Perhaps your feed rate was too aggressive and it bogged down.

First glad your ok and didn't get to close to the things that matter most .. Your body parts.. Next I was going to ask if this was a new technique pouring some Ale into the lighting holes?? J/K ... DOn't waste a good brew on a Pine Car... Looking good so far.... Can't wait to see the finish project... What class will this end up in if you don't mind me asking....

NG glad to hear no injury. I set up a fence on my drill table to use as a guide. I have also been known to use my Bullet to hold the work piece.
