Thanks everyone for the great welcome to the forum.
I loved pinewood derby as a boy and now have my first of three sons (9 cars) that will have his first race on May 27th. We received our sugar pine, cubes, and Silver Bullet. We have cutout our weight pockets, glued some cubes, and drilled our axle holes. Now just waiting for wheels and axles from John so we can get to polishing. In the meantime we will shape and paint the car.
As you know, the wife might not like it, but I plan to get into league racing once we get this first car under our belts.

welcome, good luck and above all have fun! Jump right in as soon as u can! Lots of races coming up in a short time....our race next week, mid America, final race of the season in May then Nationals!!!
