What would be the best time to finish the derby car completely? Week before race day, two weeks before race day? After completion do you graphite wheels daily up until the race? Or do you complete the car graphite the wheels once or twice and done?

For the cubs I coach, I try to finish a week or two before the race... Then they are assigned the homework of graphiting the wheels every night for a week before the race... I say this to make sure they get a good 2 or 3 nights of graphiting the car in. It hasn't failed them yet.
Hahahaha!!!! I tell the kids that once they start SpongeBob, they can stop when it's finished!
Them: "We don't watch SpongeBob!!!"
Me: "Barney?"
The looks I get... Hilarious!!!
