Tools for building cars

That sounds like a good sales pitch! Most all of us fell for it too, now the tool sits and collects dust or thrown in the trash.

So don't do this?

Racer's Tip

To accurately bend an axle for alignment or for a raised wheel, use the Pro-Rail Rider Tool with the Pro-Axle Press. The Pro-Rail Rider Tool accurately places a 1.5 or 2.5 degree bend in an axle.

Get that thing back out, I finally found a good use for it.

So what is the silver bullet, the Lone Range use to be the only one using silver bullets. Really, can someone post a picture of the Silver Bullet? I've been to John's site however their isn't a picture loaded up. Is it something in addition to using "The Block" or does it replace the block?

It would be nice if someone who has a Silver Bullet would post some pictures of it. Maybe even explain why it is better than "The Block".

Yes, the pro rail rider and the nail press are so 2007ish. This is 2012 Folks! I've got them too. We let our pack competition borrow them at the pack workshop. Is that considered misguidance or just keeping a competative EDGE? We do not talk about the BLOCK in public. We've got two BLOCKS so my boys can mirror what I do. I am hoping the Silver Bullet is easier for them to use. Cannot wait to see one. PS: BUY THE VIDEO!

NO!!!!!!!! You work with people's ability. Does the block help with a cordless drill?? I have helped kids and parents win everything they would compete in with a pro rail rider,( I don't use one) will it win a national event No. I have seen fathers with multimillion dollar machine shops build awesome cars that can't win just remember the block is nothing more than a 123 or a 246 block with training wheels. You can give a person a CNC lathe and milling machine doesn't mean they will win???

Followed your link, went onto Facebook and ``liked`your page.
Which made me think, would you be interested in doing a race up here? Could be very good for business as I can tell you with all my searching I only came up with US sites. Something to think about..who knows by that time I may be building...

When all is said and done, NPWDRL will have races all across the country and the NE would be a great spot.

My point is the nail hammer saw doesn't make the carpenter . Derby Dad has great tools and parts don't let it be a secret because it's what you make of them is the difference

You are right. I have shown people the entire enchilada and they still couldn't build a fast car and there have been some that could build a fast one using chewing gum and 4 buttons.

This is my opinion, the better tools a good carpenter has is the better job that carpenter can do. Not every car builder will be at the same level. Some will naturally be better builders than others. I will guarantee, with the proper tools you will improve your times no matter what skill level you are. For example: you can use a drill press to true and machine a set of wheels, but if you have a lathe you can do a much better job. Drilling holes with anything but the silver bullet or equivalent is much the same difference as the example I gave.

The Silver Bullet keeps getting mentioned in threads. I wish either John or someone who has one would post some pictures of it. Would be nice to actually see one and help me decide if I want to add it to my car building tools.
