BRR,
Instead of using some sort of jawed chuck, how about if you had something that the wheel could slip over? I made these to fit on a Pinecar wheel arbor. The different steps fit stock BSA's, 2.0g SS wheels, and 1g MA's. If I run into a wheel that doesn't fit snug, I just secure it with a wrap of painter's tape.
That contraption is perfect. Now you know I'm going to ask a few more questions about it...

Did you turn a piece of aluminum stock on a lathe? One is aluminum, the other I turned from Delrin.
Is it mounted on a wheel mandrel, or is it completely constructed from scratch? I used a Pinecar wheel mandrel to mount either one.
It almost looks like I could modify a Forstner bit to build this (remove the teeth to protect the whl)?
You might be able to, or you could just pm me your address and I'll send you the Delrin one. You have to supply your own mandrel though!

Now Joe, what in the world would you be using the treenail tool for, I can only guess that you have other irons in the fire. Besides all this, what in the world is a treenail? I can only speculate that a treenail is to resemble a branch on a tree in the world of model making.

It's a fastener!

I suppose I could have looked that up before posting... LOL Who'da thunk?

Will the powers that be over the forum move the other tool threads here once they are rested ?

That may take some doing to sort them all out.

Who posted that Lewis CK Post?

That was hilarious and so fitting!

Vanda-lay industries !?!? Wasn't that the company that George talked about on Seinfeld ?????
