Our pack has a 49 ft besttrack. From starting pins to timer is 45'9". When we remove one section to make 42' the distance is 38'9" Is this the common measurement? Do they vary?

As far as the BestTrack is concerned, the only real variation will be based on which timer holes are used. So, at most, you're looking at track lengths of 38'9" +/- 2"
