Hey

While im considering getting a best track test track, due to the expense and obvious size requirements, if you have to go with something else, what do people currently do...other than sending cars in blindly (outside of tuning on a tuning board of course)....

Ive bought some of those plastic tracks (gray) but they arent too well built and between connections there are always some kind of gap or ridge, even if you sand it down, and forget the curve section of the track....and with rail riding, there are also bumps and ridges along the rail at the connections that throw things off.

I did notice the derby magic test track....also plastic (yellow) but from the website description and video it looks better than the cheap stuff I bought and it comes with a timer to boot. I know I read somewhere a few people had this and I wanted to know if it is worth the cost....I know its not as good as the best track, but for the money and cost is it a reasonable alternative and it comes in a shorter length (I really only have a straight line of about 35 feet from wall to wall short of going outside in the grass yard).

As it is, until I get some kind of track, ill be able to tune on my board (4 feet) and maybe roll it along the plastic track 8 feet or so just to get the oil and prep process broken in.....but very little else after that....

that was my initial feeling as well. Whew...this can get expensive!

if I do go the best track route ill have to just get the 35 ft test track offer, 1 lane, and then dont connect the last 7 foot section and just put the end at that point to fit it in my house....

dont think I want to put this outside as the weather and dog will likely deestroy it LOL
