I have a tuning board out of MDF, its on a frame to make sure it does not sag and to keep it nice and straight. It has no finish on it, just the smooth mdf surface, will this read more steer than a glass
tuning table? It seems my steer needs to be somewhat more than it should be from what I have read.
Just wondering if I am getting too much traction on the mdf as opposed to a Glass tuning table, or a slicker surface?

How do you know it needs to be more? Do you have a track that you test on also?

The steer on my cars are greater than a lot of peoples here. Only track times can confirm this though. I wouldn't worry to much about what other peoples cars need just what yours needs, that's all that matters.

Yep, running it on 35ft it had a couple of wiggles--4"in 4 ft. Needed almost 6" in 4' to stop.
Just wondering how much traction plays a part in tuning, as its hard to get track time to be sure.
