Unlimited Wheelbase

What's general consensus on the Unlimited wheelbase? I've noticed most bearing cars are around 5.75". Is there a disadvantage to running closer to 5"?

Every long wheelbase car I run is a 5" WB.

Good to hear. I'm starting a new body for the GOAT wheels I ordered today and was thinking 5". Hopefully I'll have two to send to the feb race. I planned on sending my current one this month but our cub master talked me into running it Saturday at our pack derby and those delrin wheels don't hold up well on short stop sections. Kids loved it though/images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

What COM do you shoot for on the 5" wheelbase?

this year i made the eliminator and street pro, front is the standard wheelbase location and the rears are all the way back. unlimited is last years mod, so its stretched. in tuning i had no problems with wiggles.

I don't even check the COM, I just put 11 to 12 cubes behind the rear axle...
