Expected my stuff from John by Friday. I gave John a short time to complete the order, but he worked hard and had put the order in the mail by Wednesday with 2 day priority. According to their tracking, the expected delivery date was Friday. Did not show up either Friday or today. Don't think there's any way to have the cars finished and out to Nebraska by Wednesday (deadline) of next week.

Kudos to John for his effort

"Whatever" sign to USPS

Double kick me for not ordering sooner

I feel for you I have been under the gun for both the March and April races. After nationals I need to get anything I need on order right away, I want to be able to take my time for June. Unless my cars are super fast at nationals then maybe I will rush every build

I have sent cars overnight before. Its expensive, but sometimes, I just have to put something on the track.

Right now, that is looking like the BEST case scenario.....and that's if everything goes right from here on out.

Stay positive, now you have time to make a detailed plan of attack, don't overthink it and make it happen.

Where does it say the cars have be there by Wednesday? I thought I saw the cars had to be registered by the 23rd. Can I assume if they arrive by the 23rd they will be registered?

No one will be at the shipping address to receive them if you don't get it there by Wednesday possibly Thursday but Greg was pretty hesitant to admit that. The fear being a bunch of people take advantage and plan to send on Thursday when it is really just a courtesy for any cars that usps isn't on time for.

You gave to register online. This allows them to load everyone into the race manager. They aren't just going to register you because your car shows up.

"Cars must be received at the above address on or before Wednesday April 22nd, 2015.
Any cars received after this date will not be received in time to race. Plan accordingly."

the MA site under proxy and shipping information says cars must be received by Wed the 22nd and to plan accordingly. Interesting enough, the Nationals site says cars must be received by Thursday the 23rd for the Pro event.

My suspicion is that both Greg and John will do what they can to make sure that all proxy racers cars make it to the race as much as they can...whether that is going to the 23rd for the MA side of it there is no way to tell...but I wouldn't put is pass them. Im sure however, they are not going to formally state that as it puts a bunch of stress on them and others from a setup and planning....

Literally however, I gather once Greg leaves his house the last time before going to the MA race for good then whatever comes after that will miss the race....

If you haven't mailed your cars out yet, id suggest what was mentioned above and go overnight with fed ex as I think that's about the only remaining solution....that is unless you can get yourself to the race with your cars!!!

While part of racing in any league or event is being on time....USPS seems to have a nasty tendency some times to throw a wrench even with the best laid plans....

Good luck to all!!!!

You guys that are stressing about shipping -- IF your cars arrive on Thursday - -it is going to put a crunch on John and I but we are ok with cars arriving on Thursday... REALLY hope you all have tried for Wed as the bulk of things will be transported to the event on Wed -- and as a total long shot if your cars were to arrive on FRIDAY -- you will miss the first few classes of cars being raced on Friday - but if John can manage it - we might be able to get cars on Friday and checked in for Sat races... Please PM me if you are up against the wall - we will do everything we can to help... maybe my wife can run a set of cars over on Friday before things start at 5pm -- our mailman get to our home LATE in the day on Friday. So I would not bank on that. I hope this helps some of you struggling getting cars out.

Truly

Greg

Try this site if you are using Fedex, it will save you some money. www.taylans.com promo code DD15. It will give you a quote before you ship. Hope this helps.

Uh Oh.

My cars went from my home in St Paul, MN to Allan Park, MI, which is exactly the *opposite* direction they need to go.

Ironically, I'm traveling to Dearborn MI this week which is just a few minutes away from Allen Park. So my cars followed me.

That's odd. hope it is a tracking fluke. MN being a main shipping hub it is usually pretty solid for getting everything out on time.

I shipped from from Rochester Monday and it was up to the TCs that night and straight to Omaha the next.

Yep, I shipped Monday too, fully confident they'd arrive in plenty of time.

In another turn of irony...

ngyoung, my brother-in-law and his family live in Rochester, MN and works for Mayo Clinic.

LightninBoy, funny I work in Dearborn (FoMoCo PDC) when I am not working from home.

Small world.

Good job USPS!
My large flat rate (priority mail) box with my 5 cars was picked up Monday at noon here in Shoreline (Seattle) Washington, and USPS tracking said it arrived today (Wednesday the 22nd) at 2:55 PM in Omaha.
