So my wife is the PTA president. The little school my 3 boys go to was cleaning up the closet space getting ready for the new school year. They hat a Cricut cutting machine made for scrap bookers and making your own stickers and such. Well my wife took it off their hands and shoved it in the deep dark places of our storage, she mentioned it a while back. I thought of it tonight and figured out how to use the dang thing. It is really cool. I will be putting it to good use from now on! I found the receipt in the box, it looks like this thing cost about $350, I'm really happy she went to help out!

Can you cut arbitrary graphic files on a Cricut, or do you have to use whatever modules you've pre-purchased?

I guess it can do text without trouble?

I used to work in a sign shop back in college...I miss having access to a vinyl plotter. Would sure come in handy for PWD graphics. /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif

Neat! I've have been looking at one and it runs about $199 with shipping included. Don't believe it's the same brand as Bulldog mentioned, seen it on eBay. I try and remember to post a link later.

the receipt was pretty old, I'm sure you can get one much cheaper. I can only cut out the text and shapes that I have programs for, nothing fancy but it's still pretty cool, I'm going to make lane numbers and car names, label boxes, parts trays, game on!

I put my head down and got to work yesterday after church. I reevaluated my game plan and have started a new fleet to finish off the fire series and give the best showing I can in MOTM. I chose to color all my cars the same so I can quickly identify which cars are mine on the live feed. I also chose team colors to represent team Bulldog Racing. I'm building my first Eliminator and Unlimited for the last fire series show down. 33 days until the next race shipping in 26 days, good luck men!

If it is an older cricut machine then you are probably in luck. The one we have has a USB port on the back and can be connected to your computer running a program called SCAL. Here is a picture of the vinyl we cut, this was our very first build we ever did back in 2014.

If you need any help just let me know I would be more than happy to walk you through it.

Thanks,
Ben

its actually a complete rip-off of the logo for Trey Canard who is #41 and races supercross and motocross. By boys name is also Trey so that is what he wanted /images/boards/smilies/smile.gif
