Vise For a Drill Press?

This is going on sale on the 30th. I was thinking it could be useful. Do they make a compound type one? The less moving of my table the better. I hate to try and re-square it.

Anyone have any experience or thoughts about it. I have the block, but this looks interesting and like it could be helpful at some point. How about for drilling a 45 degree type angle for a NDFW?
 
How are those who are drilling at a 45 for the NDFW doing it? I don't really want to tilt my table like that.

If using the BLOCK/SILVER BULLET where do I find different size pin guides to get different angles?

I thought I had seen a post that they had something like that at Granger's. I don't know what they are called and can not find the post using the search feature. Thanks.
 
Does a 45 NDFW still keep the car on the lane if you get wiggles? I saw some that have a guide pin that is visible but wasn't sure if they all usually do but it is just hidden under the wheel or something.
 
It seemed like the guide pin was usually further back, maybe 2 1/2" ~ 3" from the rears (at least this is what I saw at MA). So it is only to protect against the unthinkable (e.g. a car leaving the lane). Do I have this correct?

I'm building another SR and been dabbling in the idea of building an SP, just for giggles...
 
If any of you remember my car "TOO COOL" i didn't have a guide pin on it for a couple of races. Then the unthinkable happened at finish line it left the lane and went flying. After that I added a guide pin. Had no trouble after that. So a guide pin is a must. Just my 2 cents what it is worth.

I cut the front down to a 45° just past the where
the wheel is, then I take a junk wheel sand the inner hub down even with the outer edge of wheel, I hold that wheel where I want it to sit on the 45 to aid starting at correct angle, using a pin vice I start my hole, drill through the body, using a cheap nail I mount wheel, some times if the wheel doesn't sit like I want I'll oblong the hole so the wheel sits tight to the 45° body, use drimel tocounter sink around the hole in the bottom of car cut nail short and I'll add some ca glue on the underside to hold in place so nail won't tear up stop section
