Can I get the same affect as a washer if I were to recess a piece of nylon at the dfa hole? I've already made an attempt. Polished up a thin later and set it in position. Haven't been able to test it yet.

Try and polish it so there are no grooves in the plastic where the wheel rides.

For sure! Maybe black ice process as well?

What type of "nylon" are you using here? You might be better off using a PTFE material here. It's available in sheets or "tape roll" with adhesive backing through several sources. Research this site and you find what you're looking for.

I acquired a gasket making table from a job I worked on. It's similar to to ones you see in the meet department at the grocery store. I'm assuming it's teflon or derlyn. Thanks for the tip though!! Your definitely right, I shouldn't assume ...
