This is a basic stupid question, but I am really struggling with this one. How do you get the NDFW covered with tape and have your edges tight, no wrinkles and done right. I have tried thin and thick mailing tape, and mine look horrible. I am having horrible flash backs of the first time I used monokote!

I turn the wheel so it has a thick flat edge, cut a big rough circle out of thick type transparency paper, hole punch a hole in the center, stick on the wheel pressing a lot, trim with razor blade...
I use usps mailing tape and trim the edges with a razor blade or exacto knife. You have to sand the inner hub until it's flush with the wheel edge, basically remove the inner step. Then the tape will stick better and be in a level plane. Finally punch the axle nail through the tape and mount it flush against the body.
