Wheelbase and cog

make the wheel base 4 and 3/4 put 12 cubes behind the rear axle and the rest righr in front of rear axle

I have drilled the rear axle location the same as standard.....so I just need to re drill the front forward a bit. I've used forester bit and dremel to add weight pockets as I've seen on other cars...my body is 3/8 thick and I've measured the pocket depth at just a hair over 1/4 so my tungsten cubes should fit good. I build similar rail runner last year for my daughter but made wheelbase longer and she lost the overall district race by .002...so this year trying to make sure she gets it

Would this advice also go for the 2.1 ounce bar weight? I am afraid by putting the 2.1 behind the rear axle and then the rest in front of the rear axle the COG might become too aggressive. We building a rail rider and racing on a best track and I plan to use a 5 inch wheel base, but can make it shorter if that would make a faster car. We raced long wheelbase for a while now and did well with it, but we are looking to keep improving our speed.

Between a 4 and 3/4 and 5 you wont notice much speed difference..from 2.0 to 2.1 in the rear you wont notice much difference..the speed in tbe the drill of the rear end and the prep of thee wheels and axles
